Skater Girl

So, All of Camille's begging to take ice skating lessons has finally paid off! She started her first group class yesterday morning. She did so well! They are even moving her up a class!





Dave & I could not believe how excited she was about this class. I don't think we have ever seen her look forward to anything more!

I had wanted her to take ballet.... she is next in line at the OBT School starting in pre- ballet, we had even toured the school yesterday with Dave but.... No! she wants to skate... at least for now.... and she is really cute when she skates and seems to be picking it up really fast. It's just nice seeing her make little friends and having so much fun.



The only scary thing about the class is the complete out -of- control competitive parents "coaching" their 4- year old kids from the side! Dave & I just went and sat on the other side of the rink, drank coffee and let her be. Not surprising, Camille seemed to do the best. Having laid- back parents is definitely the way to go! We will not push her, I think we will stick with the group lessons too. They are cheap , fun and low pressure.

Tomorrow is her second class and her first Christmas show practice! She is so excited! Her teacher in the Christmas show practice is Ruth Aquino. I was Ruth's first ice skating student 26 years ago! And now she is teaching Camille. How cool is that?!
